Des textes lapidaires, travaill\u00e9s avec une minutie de tous les instants, dont les \u00e9pilogues ob\u00e9issent \u00e0 un semblable principe d\u00e9ceptif. Tous habit\u00e9s par des personnages combinards, monomaniaques jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la caricature, en lesquels se donne clairement \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre une humanit\u00e9 pass\u00e9e du stade de la solidarit\u00e9 \u00e0 celui de la d\u00e9brouille sans limite. En quoi Yves Ravey \u00e0 sa fa\u00e7on accompagne et illustre le grand tournant r\u00e9gressif des derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"227\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/jclebrun.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/RAV-227x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2028\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jclebrun.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/RAV-227x300.jpg 227w, https:\/\/jclebrun.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/RAV.jpg 526w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 227px) 100vw, 227px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Screenshot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00ab&nbsp;<strong><em>Que du vent<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;\u00bb, son tout dernier roman, non seulement ne s\u2019\u00e9carte pas de ce champ narratif absolument unique dans l\u2019espace litt\u00e9raire francophone, mais nous en fournit une saisissante grille de lecture. A commencer par son implantation, un lotissement dans une zone p\u00e9riurbaine aux Etats Unis avec pelouse et piscine, sorte de r\u00eave r\u00e9alis\u00e9 de la classe moyenne. Non loin de l\u00e0 coule la <em>Blue Spoon River<\/em>, qui pourrait bien renvoyer &nbsp;\u00e0 \u00ab&nbsp;<strong><em>Spoon River<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;\u00bb, classique de la litt\u00e9rature am\u00e9ricaine, pour entretenir le d\u00e9paysement. Chez Yves Ravey un certain Barnett tient le r\u00e9cit de ce qui arriva \u00e0 trois couples voisins dans le lotissement, entre r\u00e9ussite en trompe-l\u2019\u0153il et vraie m\u00e9diocrit\u00e9. Se d\u00e9peignant lui-m\u00eame comme un \u00ab&nbsp;<em>aventurier<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb, le narrateur laisse au lecteur le soin de mesurer ce qu\u2019il entend exactement par l\u00e0, bien loin de l\u2019acception premi\u00e8re du terme, par exemple dans la litt\u00e9rature. Suivant le courant dominant du temps, Barnett faisait des affaires. Ou du moins essayait. Comme patron d\u2019une entreprise d\u2019ambulances qui avait fait faillite, puis cr\u00e9ateur d\u2019un entrep\u00f4t de produits m\u00e9nagers \u00e0 bas prix \u00e0 son tour menac\u00e9 de liquidation judiciaire. Il les revendait ensuite&nbsp; \u00ab&nbsp;<em>\u00e0 prix cass\u00e9s dans certains pays d\u2019Afrique<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb. Certainement une figure repr\u00e9sentative de la vague Uber qui emporte sur son passage l\u2019\u00e9conomie r\u00e9elle. Certains ont voulu seulement distinguer en lui une incarnation du \u00ab&nbsp;loser&nbsp;\u00bb, occultant tout bonnement la dimension \u00e9minemment&nbsp; critique du roman d\u2019Yves Ravey.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Un univers peu \u00e0 peu se donne \u00e0 voir, qu\u2019un sociologue qualifierait de postindustriel<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Barnett Trapp, en instance de divorce avec Josefa, elle-m\u00eame partie avec Steven, a pour plus proches voisins Miko et Sally. La nuit on peut voir stationner de grosses cylindr\u00e9es devant leur maison&nbsp;: Miko poss\u00e8de des laveries, lieu de blanchissage et aussi, en l\u2019esp\u00e8ce, de blanchiment et d\u00e9tournement de fonds. Quant \u00e0 Sally, la s\u00e9duisante rousse, elle passe de nombreuses heures, tr\u00e8s d\u00e9v\u00eatue, sur le gazon synth\u00e9tique au bord de leur piscine, dans le champ de vision et devant la paire de jumelles de Barnett, qui fut troupier dans des sections sp\u00e9ciales en Irak (\u00ab&nbsp;<em>Voir sans \u00eatre vu<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb, principe premier de l\u2019instruction militaire). Le romancier multiplie ainsi les notations qui restituent un contexte et alimentent le parti pris critique. D\u2019autres voisins, Steve et Samantha, se sont pour leur part lanc\u00e9s dans l\u2019\u00e9levage de chiens. Un univers peu \u00e0 peu se donne \u00e0 voir, qu\u2019un sociologue qualifierait de postindustriel, celui qui offre son terreau aux s\u00e9ries t\u00e9l\u00e9visuelles ici caricaturalement pr\u00e9sentes dans l\u2019incroyable palette des pr\u00e9noms. Les romans d\u2019Yves Ravey, c\u2019est en permanence un consid\u00e9rable foisonnement de sens.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>L\u2019on peut encore une fois relever le niveau de concertation de cette litt\u00e9rature<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Et puis il y a ce qu\u2019on d\u00e9signera comme l\u2019intrigue. Un coup tordu contre l\u2019argent d\u00e9tourn\u00e9 de Miko, que la s\u00e9millante Sally propose au voyeur qui est \u00e9videmment devenu son amant, cons\u00e9cutivement \u00e0 son op\u00e9ration de hame\u00e7onnage. Si l\u2019on pr\u00e9cise que Barnett et Miko partent souvent p\u00eacher ensemble dans la <em>Blue Spoon River<\/em>, l\u2019on peut encore une fois relever le niveau de concertation de cette litt\u00e9rature. A quoi il conviendrait d\u2019ajouter, plus pr\u00e9gnante que jamais dans \u00ab&nbsp;<strong><em>Que du vent<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;\u00bb, l\u2019omnipr\u00e9sence d\u2019une tonalit\u00e9 ironique qui donne \u00e0 cette parodie d\u2019aventure feuilletonesque tout son mordant. Quand par exemple des bo\u00eetes de lessive entrepos\u00e9es dans le hangar de Barnett servent de cachettes aux billets de banque pas tr\u00e8s propres vol\u00e9s dans le coffre-fort de Miko. Leur forfait accompli, Sally et Barnett avaient imagin\u00e9 filer ensemble \u00e0 Vera Cruz. En \u00e9cho \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quip\u00e9e cin\u00e9matographique de Gary Cooper et Burt Lancaster, constitutive d\u2019un certain imaginaire am\u00e9ricain&nbsp;? L\u2019hypoth\u00e8se est envisageable.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comme toujours chez Yves Ravey l\u2019affaire se terminera comme si, \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re des s\u00e9ries t\u00e9l\u00e9, rien de bien s\u00e9rieux ne s\u2019\u00e9tait jou\u00e9. Tout cela semblant relever de l\u2019\u00e9cume des choses. Ou de la mousse de la lessive. Mais pris pour l\u2019essentiel chez ces suburbains ub\u00e9ris\u00e9s, pi\u00e9g\u00e9s par le miroir aux alouettes de l\u2019argent facile et de l\u2019aventure solitaire. Le reste s\u2019apparentant aux gesticulations qui constituent la v\u00e9ritable mati\u00e8re des \u00ab&nbsp;<em>soap op\u00e9ras<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb. Si elle n\u2019avait pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 per\u00e7ue, la dimension politique de cette \u0153uvre, puisqu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un ensemble coh\u00e9rent, s\u2019affiche dans \u00ab&nbsp;<strong><em>Que du vent<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;\u00bb, titre \u00e0 prendre au pied de la lettre, avec une totale \u00e9vidence.
