M\u00eame plus\u00a0: de tout cela na\u00eet un texte d\u2019une authentique beaut\u00e9, port\u00e9 par des images puissantes dans \u00a0une langue qu\u2019habitent l\u2019humour, l\u2019ironie et la force d\u2019une humanit\u00e9.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"194\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/jclebrun.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/PIETERKE-194x300.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2898\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jclebrun.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/PIETERKE-194x300.png 194w, https:\/\/jclebrun.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/PIETERKE.png 493w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Il y a l\u00e0, dans l\u2019ordre de leur apparition, Anouk et Guus, Debbie et Anne. Le r\u00e9cit de leurs histoires crois\u00e9es commence en 1956 \u00e0 Poortugaal, \u00ab&nbsp;<em>bourgade de la Hollande m\u00e9ridionale<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb et s\u2019ach\u00e8ve en novembre 2019 \u00e0 la sortie d\u2019un cimeti\u00e8re de Bruxelles. Ce dimanche de 1956 &nbsp;Anouk et ses parents attendaient Pieter. Les deux jeunes gens allaient leur annoncer une nouvelle importante. Chez ces protestants pratiquants il ne pouvait \u00e9videmment s\u2019agir que de l\u2019annonce d\u2019un prochain mariage, Autre chose e\u00fbt &nbsp;\u00e9t\u00e9 inconcevable. Et pourtant\u2026 Les coups de la m\u00e8re s\u2019abattent sur Anouk&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;<em>que va dire le pasteur&nbsp;?<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb hurle celle-ci. Quelques mois plus tard naissait Guus, enfant mal aim\u00e9 et rejet\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s ce sombre d\u00e9but, restitu\u00e9 par un regard ext\u00e9rieur, Debbie prend la parole. Elle se trouve en juillet 2019 dans un train qui relie Bruxelles-Midi \u00e0 Rotterdam. Ag\u00e9e de trente-cinq ans, elle n\u2019a plus vu son p\u00e8re depuis leur rupture, une d\u00e9cennie plus t\u00f4t. Abandonn\u00e9 de tous, sauf de son propre p\u00e8re, malade et alcoolique, celui-ci est devenu une \u00e9pave. Alors que le terminus est maintenant en vue, Debbie &nbsp;a cette r\u00e9flexion inqui\u00e9tante, qui cl\u00f4t le chapitre initial de son r\u00e9cit \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re personne&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;<em>Le monde s\u2019assombrit \u00e0 mesure que l\u2019on approche de Guus<\/em>.\u00bb Elle annonce ainsi sa propre travers\u00e9e r\u00e9trospective de la douleur familiale.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une claire vis\u00e9e esth\u00e9tique<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dans les cinq premiers chapitres d\u2019une petite \u00a0vingtaine de pages, ce sont le ton et la singularit\u00e9 d\u2019une \u00e9criture qui se donnent \u00e0 entendre. Entre naturalisme et inventivit\u00e9 langagi\u00e8re. L\u2019on pense ici au po\u00e8me c\u00e9l\u00e8bre de Baudelaire \u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>Le Guignon<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb Mais aussi, par association d\u2019id\u00e9es, \u00e0 son pamphlet \u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>Pauvre Belgique<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb Il appara\u00eet en effet ind\u00e9niable que ceux dont il est question incarnent une logique de l\u2019\u00e9chec en m\u00eame temps que, par bien des traits, ils r\u00e9pondent au portrait pass\u00e9 au noir qu\u2019avait fait d\u2019eux le po\u00e8te lors de ses deux ann\u00e9es bruxelloises. A quoi Pieterke Mol ajoute ses visions propres, celles d\u2019une autrice litt\u00e9ralement habit\u00e9e par la pratique de la photo. Dans chacune des sc\u00e8nes de son roman elle ins\u00e8re en effet des images et leur dessine un cadre, produit d\u2019un v\u00e9ritable travail de composition. Ce qui inscrit son texte dans une claire vis\u00e9e esth\u00e9tique. Il lui faut bien cela pour contrebalancer l\u2019histoire d\u2019une famille qui se pr\u00e9sente comme la sienne. A l\u2019instar de Debbie elle est n\u00e9e en 1984 et son itin\u00e9raire personnel se confond pour l\u2019essentiel avec celui de son personnage. On y rencontre des hommes taiseux, des femmes soumises au pouvoir du pasteur, vou\u00e9es \u00e0 la terreur des avortements clandestins ou \u00e0 la venue d\u2019enfants non d\u00e9sir\u00e9s. Et, corollaire quasiment logique, un alcoolisme atavique dont Debbie n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 exempt\u00e9e. Aujourd\u2019hui celle-ci \u00a0remonte le pass\u00e9 sur trois g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, en remue la mati\u00e8re \u00e9paisse souvent d\u00e9rangeante, en d\u00e9couvre les \u00e9pisodes longtemps cach\u00e9s, les r\u00e9sistances et leurs \u00e9checs.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Entre musiques et images, Pieterke Mol fait ainsi resurgir sept d\u00e9cennies du quotidien des XX\u00e8me et XXI\u00e8me si\u00e8cles<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De son r\u00e9cit se d\u00e9gage contre toute attente une stup\u00e9fiante sensation d\u2019\u00e9nergie (\u00ab&nbsp;<em>Je veux cr\u00e9er. Je veux cr\u00e9er des images qu\u2019on n\u2019oublie pas. Surtout pas moi<\/em>.&nbsp;\u00bb) Les ressources langagi\u00e8res jouent ici \u00e0 plein, tant\u00f4t sur le rythme haletant de la suffocation et de la r\u00e9volte, tant\u00f4t en convoquant divers niveaux de langue comme les \u00e9carts d\u2019expression entre les n\u00e9erlandophones tel Guus et les francophones telle sa fille Debbie. De cela r\u00e9sulte la permanente sensation d\u2019une dynamique de bout en bout \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre. &nbsp;Renforc\u00e9e par la tr\u00e8s remarquable pr\u00e9sence d\u2019une v\u00e9ritable bande son. Les paroles des textes de grands chanteurs et groupes anglo-saxons, Lionel Richie, Ray Charles, Grace Jones, Patti Smith, New Order, et francophones, entre autres Louise Attaque, Brassens, Barbara et plus encore Brel, dont les paroles viennent magistralement se coudre dans la trame narrative. Entre musiques et images, Pieterke Mol fait ainsi resurgir sept d\u00e9cennies du quotidien des XX\u00e8me et XXI\u00e8me si\u00e8cles&nbsp;: ch\u00f4mage, pr\u00e9carit\u00e9, violences intrafamiliales, avortement criminalis\u00e9, qu\u2019elle place en regard de quelques \u00e9chapp\u00e9es heureuses de l\u2019enfance et de l\u2019\u00e2ge adulte. Voil\u00e0 un roman qui \u00e9meut et remue par la justesse du regard de celle qui \u00e9crit. Comme par une \u00e9criture jouant souverainement de tous les registres.
